You can join us by writing comments to our postings. To do so, you must first register using your VT PID. We use the VT LDAP for authentication, so all you have to do is:

  1. Register your PID;
  2. Login using your PID/Password;
  3. Fill out your Profile;
  4. Start commenting.

Some simple ground rules:

  • Any person with a VT PID can provide comments. For now, only a few professors can create posts (blog entries). If you are interested in writing for this blog, send an email to blog@cs.vt.edu to discuss your interest.
  • Comments appear only after one of the site administrators approve the comments. We are mostly doing this to avoid foul and/or offensive language, not to institute some editorial policy. Because of the need for approval, your comments will show up a few hours after or at times even the next day. Be patient.
  • Also note that your PID will appear next to your comments, we do not allow blind comments to be posted.
